The online lecture «Artificial Intelligence-based Tools for Increasing Research Productivity» was held for postgraduate students of the National Technical University «KhPI». It was delivered by Pedro Pinheiro, President of the Lisbon School of Accounting and Administration, Doctor of Philosophy in Management at the University of Lisbon. About 40 young polytechnic scientists learned how to effectively use artificial intelligence in their research, and NTU «KhPI» expanded the network of European educational institutions interested in cooperation with the leading Ukrainian technical higher education institution.
About 40 postgraduate students joined Pedro Pinheiro’s lecture «Artificial Intelligence (AI) Tools to Improve Research Productivity». The event was initiated and organized by Professor Tetyana Aleksandrova, Head of the System analysis and information-analytical technologies department and moderated by Associate Professor Andrii Kopp, Head of the Department of Software Engineering and Management Intelligent Technologies. The speaker explained in detail how artificial intelligence is changing the modern research world. He shared his experience on how AI-based neural networks transform approaches to scientific research, opening up new opportunities for scientists. The expert from Portugal also gave a detailed overview of modern Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools that greatly facilitate data analysis and automate routine processes. Participants got acquainted with practical cases of AI application in research and received advice from the professor on how to integrate AI technologies into research projects. For the graduate students of Kharkiv Polytechnic, it was a good opportunity to learn about modern technologies that will help make their future research more efficient. The invitation of Pedro Pinheiro, as one of the leading experts in the field of artificial intelligence, was initiated by the Deputy Director of the Institute of Computer Science and Information Technologies for Research Tetyana Aleksandrova and the Head of the Postgraduate Department of NTU «KhPI» Viktor Shaida. Pedro Pinheiro became one of the active participants of the international week of the Erasmus+ program, dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Bratislava University of Economics and Management (Slovakia), which was also attended by scientists from NTU «Kharkiv Polytechnic Institute»: Head of the Department of System analysis and information-analytical technologies professor Tetyana Aleksandrova and Head of the Department of Project Management in Information Technologies, Professor Marina Grinchenko.
Professor Pinheiro’s cooperation with NTU «KhPI» will continue, so this meeting will become a new step in the international cooperation of Kharkiv Polytechnic with European universities and will expand the geography of partner universities.
